1) Summary & Disclaimer
Tea for Streets (“TFS”) helps neighbors flag local issues (e.g., potholes, trash, graffiti) and earn non-monetary “Street Cred.” Reports may be visible to the community and, where appropriate, forwarded to city channels. *TFS is not affiliated with any city or agency, and we can’t guarantee a response or resolution.* Please stay safe and obey local laws when gathering information (no trespassing or unsafe behavior). TFS is intended solely for reporting civic infrastructure issues. Content that is abusive, offensive, misleading, or unrelated to civic issues is not permitted and may be removed.
2) Street Cred
Street Cred is a fun, non-monetary points system that rewards participation during early access:
• Each photo: +10 Cred (up to 3 per report)
• Daily streaks: Earn extra Cred for consecutive reporting days
• Achievements (coming soon): Unlock badges and unique rewards for milestones
• Level up as you gain Cred to show your community impact
Points and levels may reset as the app evolves or when we update the system to prepare for major updates.
3) Acceptable Use
Help keep TFS positive and safe:
• Report real civic issues only, no spam or harassment.
• Don’t include personal info or identifiable faces in photos without consent.
• Don’t report emergencies, call 911 instead.
• Respect private property and follow all local laws while reporting.
• Content may be filtered, moderated, hidden, or removed, and users may be restricted for violations.
4) Location & Photos
With your permission, TFS uses your device’s location to tag reports so city crews and neighbors know where issues are. Photos you upload may include GPS data (EXIF metadata). You can remove or replace photos anytime before submitting.
Please only take photos from safe, public areas—never enter restricted zones or block traffic to get a better shot.
5) Privacy
TFS collects basic account info, reports, photos, and app usage data to help improve features and keep the community fair and safe. We don’t sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
Some aggregated or anonymized data may be used to spot trends (like where potholes are most reported).
You can review full privacy details anytime in the app.
6) Changes
As we grow, TFS may update these Terms to reflect new features, policies, or improvements. If we make any major changes, we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.
Your continued use of TFS means you accept the updated Terms.
